Google Play Downloads

Google Play is the largest app store by downloads in the world, with over 110 billion downloads in 2022. Originally launched in 2008 as the Android Market, it switched to Google Play in 2012 after Google rebranded all of its stores and libraries to Google Play. Over 40 percent of Google Play downloads are for games, by far the most popular category on the store.
